Punk Hair Style
Nowadays, teenagers opt for punk hair styles as they are wild and outrageous with which it is possible to draw attention to you with the hair style. Usually, the diffident wild colors, funky styles and crazy cuts are its indication. However, not all such can be considered to be a punk hair style. It was started by rock groups that wanted to look unique. It is basically a hair style that is not accepted in society today with odd hair colors. However, all this can damage hair and its conditioning.
One important aspect of punk hair styles is the incorporation of unusual hair colors and color combinations. Of course, the colors that are usually used are orange, purple, blue, green and pink. Their neon shades provide a better effect. These colors can be used in different ways to create a punk hair style. They can be either applied to all the hair, or in just sections. Sometimes tips of strands, stripes and parts of hair are highlighted to create bangs or crowns. You can use your imagination in creating color combinations worthy of a punk hair style. It is always better to use colors having a high contrast like using platinum blonde tips on black hair, which look really great.
Like color, the cut has to be something that is not accepted as a normal hair style. This is made possible with stark contrasts and unusual configurations. An example is one which is long on top, only to end with a buzz cut on the lower part of the head. You could consider asymmetrical hair cuts with perhaps long hair on one side and short on the other. You could also shave words or special patterns on the back of the head.
The most common and famous punk hair style is the Mohawk style where the hair is cut vertical in a narrow band, from the center of the crown of the head to the back. An addition to this hair cut is bald or shaved sides or sides arranged with spikes. Another style is the flyaway where the hair is not styled but let loose like rock stars. Then there are weird hair styles that you can create and make unique like strange parts, loops, spikes, braids and accessories.
Punk hair styles came into being in the l980s. This was when rock bands placed more emphasis on means of making them look unique and distinctive from others. Once these rock bands sported these punk hair styles, teenagers accepted them as a means of expressing themselves and to attain some individuality amongst themselves.
