Wine Lips
Give your lips a shot of glamour with rich burgundy tones. A wine coloured mouth is ultra feminine and sophisticated. It defines your look but does not overpower your face. But the trick is to keep the colour bit imperfect. Your berry lips should look as if the colour has been dabbed on rather than painted on your lips. The right shade- a hint of brown for warm toned girls, and a hint of pink or blue for lighter skinned women – can make your complexion look fresh and elegant. Look for creamy texture instead of matte.
- Since dark lipstick can settle on into lines and clump around flakes, exfoliate and moisturise your lips well. Slick on a layer of non-greasy lip balm and let it soak into the skin for five minutes
- Then apply a liner that matches your lips natural tone over the whole mouth. After drawing the border, fill in lips working from middle to the corners. Make sure extra colour doesn’t get deposited at the corners f your mouth
- Now instead of applying the lipstick with a brush, you can take some colour on your fingertip and pat it on the mouth. Go from middle to the outer corner. Pat maximum colour on the middle of your lips for a bee stung effect. You can even apply directly from the tube, but blot your lips on a tissue and then pat on the second layer with your fingertip
- To make your lips appear fuller, apply a sheer rich shade all over and then dab a slightly deeper one in the middle.
- If you find wearing dark colours scary, start with a sheer formula and then try creamier version as you feel confident.
